Nike RE-Branded as a toothpaste brand (test)..

Self negotiated project 2:
(RE) Brand.
"The most important thing is to never stop questioning" (Albert Einstein)

Consumerist society, insure everything need its own identity + compete in a market environment.
I wish to explore the visual language of branding and produce an appropriate graphic response by taking 'snapshots' what exists today of maybe thought of in the future.

Taking the normal things we all know of a brand and turn in into something different. Something we never expected of that brand.

The test shown above is where I took Nike and RE-branded it to a toothpaste brand.

Further designs will be uploaded soon! :)

Identities by Fleur Vos..

Identities by Fleur Vos..

Graphic Designer Fleur Vos asked me if I wanted to model for her new project "Identities". So we went to the photo studio of the University and setted up the lights for the right dark and mysterious pictures she wanted. The mask are all made by Fleur Vos with a curtain meaning "Identity". I needed to express al of these identities by their curtain meaning.

After taken the pictures, I retouched the pictures in Photoshop to create and get that final look shown above.

The project is still running so the final results will be shown very soon on this blog:

First teaser "God save the Queen's English"

Assignment:
"God save the Queen's English"
Brand/Celebrate/Promote the Queen's English.

The target audience are visually literate, young professionals
interested in design language, and maintaining standards of diction,
grammar, punctuation and spelling.

My project is al about "THE CHAOS. A foreign person's difficulties with the English language".
When we got the briefing in the beginning, I thought about a Dutch book called "I always get my sin". This book shows you the funny mistakes to the Dutch people who can't speak that good, make. Based on that I started to look at other foreign country's who have the same funny mistakes or miss pronunciations.

So I've collected several movies who are all about those mistakes and had the idea to make short animations of them. After that I begun to type the words that are been said in the movie, on a paper with an old typeface, printed it and scanned again to get a certain look. The illustrations that I'm going to use and make in the movies are based on the mistake or miss pronunciation of the movie.

This is just a the first teaser of the whole project.

Used programs:
Photoshop CS5
InDesign CS5
Illustrator CS5
Adobe Premier CS5

Enjoy :)

The Final show proposal..

Assignment:
"Final show"
The meaning was that you had to make a proposal for the final show in May 2011.

When I first started to think about a proposal, I thought about motion sensors all over the place. My theme was Illusion. Think and look twice at an object before really knowing what is was.
But after having a good Christmas at home I realized that what I was doing was to hard for me to make and realize. It made me realize that I can't make something that is that interactive and have all those programs needed that I really don't know anything about yet, too hard for me is.

So I knew I had to be more myself, an Graphic designer and put my specialities in this project.

The first thought was that I wanted to make the people work, have fun and be creative together. I started to thing about setting up an event. An creative event. This event will have two contests running so people do have something that they can achieve because the best designs will be chosen and realized. The first contest is a T-shirt contest and the other contest is a corporate identity for an tattoo artist.

This is just a proposal so if they like it and are going to use this, better and higher quality visuals/drawings will be made!

Used programs:
Photoshop CS5
InDesign CS5
Illustrator CS5
